I'm currently member of the Department of Anatomy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of NYIT, where I teach Human Anatomy Practice Lab for first-year medical students and also do research in collaboration with both Animal Motion Lab and Watanabe Lab.

The last year of my Ph.D. degree was in association with the Pierce Lab in the Museum of Comparative Zoology (MCZ), Harvard University. I was able to learn skills as CT Scan, dice CT Scan, digital dissection/segmentation techniques for both skeleton and soft tissue materials. See more at: PierceLab/Alumni
My Ph.D. was focused in Zoology, in association with the Laboratório de Evolução de Mamíferos (Mammal Evolution Lab), where I was able to develop skills as physical mammal dissection, comparative anatomy and morphology, phylogenetic comparative methods and teaching. Concomitantly with my Master's degree focused on research, I also graduate with a Bio Sciences and Health teaching degree, where I developed techniques as how to create more intuitive classes and incite the critical thinking and active learning.
During my Master's degree, I learned linear and geometric morphometrics, basic statistics and programming. My project was based on dry museum specimens, with a database of almost 1000 samples representing all marsupials, collected in several mammal collections from Brazil, Australia and USA.
My undergraduate course was in Biological Sciences, with emphasis in Zoology. Since my second semester, I was already an internship in Museu Nacional/UFRJ (National Museum of Brazil), learning mammal taxidermy and basic dissection. After my second year, I started my first research project with marsupial morphology, age and reproduction.
